Organizations I Belong to:
REACH (Rat Enthusiasts Actively Collaborating Honestly) is a newer organization created by Amour Petite Rattery in collaboration with SNS Rattery. It promotes the breeding of better rats by utilizing pedigrees, known health, new health patterns, following strict breeding guildelines. These guidelines are to breed better, healthier, and rats that meet AMFRA conformation standards. This organization is also based upon being honest in the world of breeding, health, husbandry, etc.
NARR is an organization that allows breeders to keep track of health, life span, and pedigrees through a database. Members submit their pedigrees for individual rats, litters, and litter members to the database. The people who run the website give members the ability to check a rat’s pedigree, health, family members (and their health) before purchasing a buck or doe from another breeder. Other breeders are then able to see litter information. IE: When I breed a litter of rats, other members can see each rat, their family, their health, and their history.
